Founded in 1980, as Indonesia’s first private sector drilling contractor, MedcoEnergi has evolved into an energy and natural resources company.

Since its inception, Medco Group has always taken an active lead in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). As the success and business ventures have expanded, so was the amount of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

Medco believed that agricultural industry is the key for food self-sufficiency. Began from MIFEE program Medco gave contribution to develop Merauke.

Multi Fabrindo Gemilang was a company established by Arifin Panigoro in 1983 to manage fabrication and construction projects.

Medco founders firmly believe that people development is one of the keys for a company to sustain itself. Medco Learning Centre (MLC) was established to equip Medco’s employees with knowledge and skills to enable them to excel in their jobs .

Food self-sufficiency has always been a concern to Arifin Panigoro. Thus, encouraged him to support the rice cultivation System of Rice Intensification (SRI).

In 1906, some merchants in Pasar Baru, Bandung established saving and lending organizations that later named Himpunan Soedara 1906 (HS 1906).

The education matter in Indonesia has always drawn the attention of Medco Group founders. Establishing several private schools in Jabodetabek region is a form of real action to the concern.

Koperasi Karyawan DINATERA is an employee cooperative owned by Medco Group that established in 2004. With a goal to help the members, Dinatera has became the first choice for Medco’s employee to meet their needs.

In 1993, Medco started to enter the oil palm plantation business by establishing Meta Epsi Agro, the origin of present Medco Agro.

Elga Networks was founded in 1996 as an Internet Service Provider company. In 2004, Elga merged with Medco Group Companies. ELGA focus on delivering IT solutions for other Medco Group business units.

The beauty of the sea and nature around Banggai has attracted many domestic and international tourists to visit. Encouraged Medco to invest in property, especially an hotel.
